A passionate artist: I produce art glass for the home, body and soul; teach others to do the same & occasionally write about it. http://steiderstudios.wordpress.com/
An avid gardener: A confessed plantaholic, I rearrange my garden the way others might rearrange their furniture. http://anartistsgarden.wordpress.com/
Hobbyist photographer: My friend Chris invited me to join the Shutter Sisters 365 Project in 2010, posting a photo a day, or 365 photos for the year. I had to give it up midway when my work became too busy to continue although I did take photos, just didn’t take time to post. This year I plan to use my camera daily, a point & shoot Nikon Coolpix P80 & will upload on a daily or almost daily basis. Well, at least until work takes over my life again. My goals are to follow through (!) which will improve my photography skills and use my camera to it’s fullest potential. I wonder sometimes if I need a dSLR when my little point & shoot seems to take the shots I want. I would like to get better (closer with a zoom lens) wildlife pictures and macro flower & insect shots. Are these two reasons strong enough to warrant the price & heft of a dSLR? I hope this journey will tell me.
Oh, and I’ve been taking pictures from the time I received a Kodak Instamatic camera for my 10th birthday!
