39 ~ 365: An Eagle Has Landed…
…at the Hood River marina and I was excited he let me get this close!
The gulls were trying to chase him away, but I couldn’t get a good shot in flight so include this one for fun:
Then he landed again!
When he took off for the final time, I let Treasure come out to play on the beach.
Until the sun set and we had to go….

Loved this. Eagle is exciting and Treasure is a beauty!
Fantastic shots, Linda!! Too cool! Love that fourth shot. A few years ago I was vacationing on the coast, staying at Kalaloch Lodge not far from Forks, and an eagle flew overhead as I was walking on the beach. He was huge!! I couldn’t believe his wing span. BTW, Treasure is a treasure!
Those are fantastic photos, how exciting. The only eagles I’ve seen that close are injured ones at our zoo. I’ve seen some in the wild up in northern AZ but not close like that. The one of him flying is so cute, looks like he has brown pants and yellow shoes on. He’s magnificent and Treasure is adorable.
Oh I love eagles – such amazing creatures. How lucky to get so close. Beautiful.
They sure are majestic birds, and what beautiful photos!
